Crews are reporting it was a small trash fire that’s now extinguished. No extension to the structure and the incident has been recalled. Station 7 will remain on scene working.

There was no extension of the fire and the incident has been recalled keeping 2 fire companies on scene working. A fire investigator is enroute to the scene.
Crews have arrived on scene of reported fire in a commercial building in NE. Engine 19 is reporting light smoke showing and they are deploying a hose line.
Portland Fire is on scene of a commercial fire in the laundry room of a multi-occupancy residence in the Hollywood District.
Reports are of a burnt belt with a dryer. Ventilation requested. Truck 13 bringing fans aloft.
Earlier in the day, Engine 28 was pressure washing the fire hose bed by bed as they’re smack dab in the middle of the chiefs inspection work. Fortunately when this call came in all the hose was reloaded. And no hose came out of the beds on this incident so they’re looking good.
This building is taller than the reach of our aerial ladder which dictates a larger response. This High-Rise response places over 1/3 of the daily on duty staffing.
The arrival order dictates the task assigned upon arrival so each member knows their exact assignment.
This incident did not require all members responding to arrive and go to work but we are ready to do so if the incident dictates a well planned fire attack by all responders.
Portland Fire is on scene of a dryer fire within a dryer inside an apartment in NW PDX.
Crews are removing the dryer while others are investigation of the fire extended into the structure.
