Aug 31 was International Overdose Awareness Day. Families know the signs of overdose (slowed or no breathing, blue/gray lips, won’t wake up) and call 911 right away. Naloxone (Narcan) can save a life. Free training and kits are available through the @ALXHealth (alexandriava.gov/opioids) and Virginia Dept. of Behavioral Health and Virginia’s REVIVE! program. Together, we can keep our students, families, and community safe. #EndOverdose #OverdoseAwarenessDay
