Technical Rescue Crews are at Piestewa Peak for reports of a mountain rescue. The PIO is on the scene and will provide updates as they become available.
Crews have assisted an adult female experiencing heat related symptoms down the mountain utilizing a Big Wheel stretcher. The patient was transported to the hospital in stable condition. All rescuers are safely off of the mountain.
Firefighters are working a First Alarm Mid-Rise fire near 36th St and Thomas. The PIO is on the scene and will provide updates as they become available.
Crews extinguished a fire in a 4th floor apt keeping it from extending. Firefighters rescued 1 resident from the fire occupancy who was transported in critical condition. 1 other resident was transported in stable condition after a medical evaluation. No firefighter injuries.
Technical rescue members are currently ascending the South Mountain trail for the reports of an overheated hiker. The PIO is on the scene and will update as the incident progresses.
Firefighters arrived on scene near 28th St and Roosevelt St to find a fire in the rear of a home that was extending to a nearby house. Crews quickly extinguished the flames keeping the damage to the nearby house to the exterior.
Firefighters have extinguished a house fire near 19th Ave and Van Buren St. 10 people have been displaced, and the Community Assistance Program is assisting with their needs. The cause is under investigation, and no injuries were reported.
Firefighters have rescued four dogs and one turtle out of a mobile home fire near 19th Ave. and Camelback Rd. Crews arrived to find heavy smoke coming from the interior of the structure. All four dogs and turtle are expected to survive.
Firefighters battled two early morning apartment fires near 39th Ave and Camelback Rd. There are no reported injuries on either incident and investigators are on the scene to determine the causes.

Firefighters have safely extracted the hiker off the mountain after they injured their ankle while descending the trial.

Firefighters are currently on the scene of a first alarm brushfire near 51st Ave. and Broadway Rd.

51st Ave. will be closed between Broadway and Southern Ave for an unknown amount of time.
Crews have achieved fire control. Command is estimating that approximately two acres of brush was affected. Firefighters will remain on the scene to extinguish all remaining hotspots.
