We need your help! Could you spare a few hours to help us clear our space this week? We're here today, tomorrow (13th) & Thursday (15th). Mostly sorting; occasional heavy lifting. If you're happy to support us in these last few difficult days, call us on 02890232524. Thanks!
Oh no I didn’t know that. I’ve always been meaning to travel to Belfast for the festival and never got the chance. The funding cut is so short-sighted. People give out that there’s a lack of design literacy but then they cut initiatives that would remedy this?!!! Boggles the mind

This is a real travesty to be honest. @PLACENI have done some amazing this in Northern Ireland and Belfast and their work and enthusiasm will be sorely missed

So sad that @PLACENI will be closing, such an inspiring body of work, and a great festival too that will be sorely missed in the city. Respect to the staff team.
Last chance to buy our books, prints and editions from PLACE this week. We’re closed on Friday this week (not for good - yet) and will be boxing everything up from Thursday afternoon onwards, so get them while you can!
Really sad to see this go very impressed by the work and what it was trying to achieve @PLACENI charity to close after cut in funding bbc.co.uk/news/uk-northern-i…
Facing challenges such as climate emergency, spatial and social justice and the privatisation and commercialisation of cities can only be addressed with organisations that link communities to design and strategy, involving different stakeholders in creative ways.
Place should be funded directly by departments of Economy and Communities. It should be in the interest of local and regional government to support an organisation that advocates for inclusive design, architecture and urbanism.
Place is the only organisation in NI that links communities to the built environment, that highlights and enhances the value of the spaces and places we all live in, involving people of different ages, classes, ethnicities and abilities.
