Highlights of @NGRSenate plenary for today, Thursday 11 June 2026 1. @NGRSenate referred the State Police (Constitution Alteration) Bill to its Committee on Constitution Review and resolved to vote on it when the chamber resumes from its end of session break, unlike @HouseNGR which passed it today. 2. Four (4) bills were presented for First Reading.

Highlights of @HouseNGR plenary for today, Thursday 11 June 2026 1/2) 1. @HouseNGR passed the State Police (Constitution Alteration) Bill. 2. @HouseNGR rescinded its earlier decision on the presentation of the Constitution Review Committee's report presented last year. 3. @HouseNGR then received the report on the first batch of "prioritized" Constitution Amendment Bills. 4. @Speaker_Abbas announced Hon. Fredrick Y. Agbedi (@HonAgbedi), Hon. Abdulsamad Dasuki (@abdussamadd) and Hon. Manu Mansur Soro (@RepManuSoro) as Minority Leader, Deputy Minority Leader and Minority Whip, respectively.

Discussions focused on women's participation in national development, inclusive governance, and the passage of the #SpecialSeatsBill to boost women's representation in politics and decision-making.
