#NEWS | Liverpool’s busiest gateway is set for a major transformation with a leading specialist design team appointed to shape a new long-term vision for the Central Station area. Led by Hawkins\Brown, the team will develop a Strategic Regeneration Framework (SRF) to guide ambitious plans for investment and renewal around the station, helping to unlock its full potential as a welcoming and well-connected city centre arrival point. A proposed redevelopment of rail services at Liverpool Central station provides the opportunity for a radical transformation of the area, and will act as a catalyst for redevelopment. Liverpool Central welcomes more than 14.8 million passengers a year and plays a critical role in connecting the city centre, retail core and the Knowledge Quarter. The SRF will help ensure future development around the station is comprehensive, deliverable and aligned with the city’s wider regeneration and growth ambitions. With conceptual CGIs released of the area, the visionary 86-acre project aims to create a world-class transport hub to transform connectivity, drive regeneration, and unlock economic growth in Liverpool City Region and the North West of England. Such is the scale of the project it would greatly enhance access to jobs, housing, leisure, and business while advancing the region and the county’s net zero goals. Liverpool Central has been chosen as a pilot project for the Government’s reformed 'Green Book' appraisal process, aimed at unlocking a £5bn transformation of the station and surrounding area. Liverpool City Region Mayor @MetroMayorSteve said: 'This is a chance for us to think bigger about the future of one of the key front doors to Liverpool – creating a greener, safer and better connected gateway that works for residents, businesses and the millions of people who pass through it every year. 'Working with Liverpool City Council and partners, we can make sure this becomes more than a transport upgrade – but a catalyst for wider regeneration, investment and opportunity in the heart of the city.' Hopefully the haters might have a night off - but here goes in any case: let me introduce you to Harley. Tonight I became a grandad for the first time. Mother and baby are well. Nanna and Grandad are ecstatic.

Over the weekend, Liverpool stepped back in time, welcoming film crews working on the upcoming drama series Kennedy. The series charts the early years of the famous Kennedy family, beginning with the rise of Joseph Kennedy (played by Michael Fassbender) and Rose Kennedy (played by Laura Donnelly) during the 1930s. The pair were the parents of John F. Kennedy, who would go on to become the 35th President of the United States. Liverpool’s historic architecture once again proved the perfect backdrop for a major production. In recent years, the city has become a go-to location for film and TV crews, regularly doubling for cities around the world. These productions bring significant investment into the local economy, supporting jobs, businesses, and reinforcing the Liverpool City Region’s growing reputation as one of the UK’s leading filming destinations.

The 'bringing in' of your own food and drink has been a topic of debate! Thanks for all your comments. It's very hard for hospitality at the moment, so we are super grateful to people who choose to spend with us, and enable us to support our homeless friends. Thankyou x

Our family ancestors ( Murphy ) came to Liverpool from Ireland as a result of the Great Hunger where over one million who stayed died. Nothing changes for these bastards.
Duke of Devonshire's exclusive Mayfair bookshop occupied as fury grows over his decision to raise rents to Irish farmers from £500 to £5,000 His ancestors stole this land in 1753; this mad rent rise will force farmers off land that they have cultivated for hundreds of years
