Plateau State High Court Commences E-Affidavit System The Plateau State High Court of Justice has officially commenced the use of its Electronic Affidavit (e-Affidavit) system, in line with earlier public announcements, marking a significant milestone in the judiciary’s drive toward digital transformation. The Phase 1 Launch scheduled to commence in Courts across Jos North to kick start the pilot phase on 5th January, 2026 did not kick off immediately due to the unavailability of the e-payment platform. However, the E affidavit portal officially went live on Wednesday, 7th January 2026. It is designed to enhance efficiency, security, accessibility, and the long-term preservation of affidavit records. With this innovation, members of the public can now process affidavits conveniently from the comfort of their homes via the online portal: portal.judiciary.pl.gov.ng/ or visit the High Court premises for guided assistance to ensure accuracy and seamless service delivery. You can find a step by step guide on how to apply online for your affidavit here : highcourt.pl.gov.ng/2025/12/… The introduction of the e-Affidavit platform represents a major step forward in judicial digitalisation and underscores the Plateau State Judiciary’s commitment to improving service delivery through technology. The initiative also serves as a model that can be replicated by other courts across the country.
