Warsaw International Book Fair 2026
For four days, the written word took center stage at Warsaw’s National Stadium. The closing book fair solidifies Poland's capital as a premier hub on the European literary map. The event drew over 130,000 visitors, hundreds of publishers from 33 countries, and more than a thousand authors, writers, and poets.

The Emirate of Sharjah (UAE) was this year's Guest of Honor, showcasing the universal values of literature alongside the rich diversity of Emirati culture.
Fair Highlights:
🏆 Celebrating Non-Fiction: The fair concluded with the presentation of the prestigious Ryszard Kapuściński Award, celebrating the art of Polish reportage. This year's prize went to Peter Pomerantsev, the prominent British journalist and author.
🕊️A Voice for Freedom: The event welcomed Ales Bialiatski, the distinguished Belarusian human rights activist, former political prisoner, and Nobel Peace Prize laureate.
📚 Impressive Numbers: In just 96 hours, the fair hosted over 1,500 accompanying events. These included academic panels, debates, book signings, crime fiction and comic book festivals, and the youth-focused YANA ("You Are Not Alone") Festival.
