#OTD in 1891, #Jèrriais writer George F. Le Feuvre (pen-name George d’La Forge) was born. He left us a treasury of writings about life in #JerseyCI and around the world. But as a US citizen he needed this Alien’s Registration Card to return to the Island in 1946! #OurIslandStory

This week, I recorded a small hoard of Roman decorative horse gear fittings, dating c. AD 12 to 120, from excavated sites on the continent. These three pieces are part of a small but growing collection of horse equipment discovered here from the Gallo-Roman period. #findsfriday

This #Medieval seal matrix was found in St Brelade by a metal detectorist. It's central design includes a ‘lamb and staff’ motif. The inscription says it belonged to Peter Bagot. Seals of this style were common throughout C13th. More info at bit.ly/3VLM1js #FindsFriday
