Congratulations to Culinary Arts student John Gard, Carmel, who was awarded the $2,500 Joey Fecci Foundation Memorial Scholarship. Joey Fecci was a young star chef whose passion continues to inspire! We are so grateful to Joey’s parents, pictured here with John, for awarding this yearly scholarship to our students. Congratulations to our talented senior class!
Way to go! Proud families and friends celebrated student honorees at PNW BOCES’ annual Career and Technical Education (CTE) Recognition ceremony. Graduating students received their certificates inside their classrooms at the Tech Center in Yorktown on Thursday, June 11. CTE Valediction Mikayla Simon, a New Visions Sports Medicine student from Carmel, summed up her time at BOCES in a moving speech. “Success can look like mastering a clinical skill, building something with your hands, designing a solution to a problem, helping someone in need, discovering a passion, or finding the confidence to believe in your own potential. That’s the beauty of PNW BOCES, it teaches us that every talent has value, every passion deserves opportunity, and every student has the ability to create a meaningful future.” Congratulations! #pnwboces #wecandothat #classof2026

There was tons of fun in the sun at the Walden School’s annual Field Day at PNW BOCES. Students played inflatable basketball and soccer games, tried their hands at cornhole, and faced off in a giant Connect Four game. They also got the chance to have tug of war battles.

Exciting news for our campus and for our students!
PNW BOCES will soon be off the electrical grid, saving money and demonstrating environmental stewardship! More than 6,400 solar panels have been installed on the edges of the main Yorktown campus under the direction of our O&M team. John Madden’s Urban Forestry students are helping facilitate the project by building the emergency access path from the Tech South building to the solar fields. The array is expected to be up and running in the fall. #pnwboces #wecandothat

Proud to be part of these amazing teams of Culinary students at today's PNW BOCES event at Tilly Foster!
Things heated up at Tilly Foster Farm on June 3, when Maria Rosselli’s PNW BOCES Culinary students hosted a chili cook-off! Four teams—Dr. Chili Peppers, Hot Spice, Pepper Squad, and Ring of Fire, each led by a BOCES administrator —cooked their hearts out and produced incredible beef, chicken, veggie, and pork renditions, along with fire corn bread. Judges were hard pressed to pick a winner among such savory samplings. “I am so proud of my students who worked for weeks on perfecting these recipes and were so excited to compete,” said Rosselli. Animal Care teacher Cat Ludwiczak led a culinary and animal-facts trivia quiz after the cook-off. #pnwboces #wecandothat

Bubbles and laughter filled the air outside the Pines Bridge School, where students were treated to a visit from the Bubble Bus. The sun was shining as big, vibrant bubbles danced around students and floated into the sky. Students danced to lively tunes and tried to grab each bubble as it drifted away. #pnwboces #wecandothat

No one tells our story better than our students!
Putnam Northern Westchester BOCES’ component board members and superintendents got a taste of the organization’s broad range of incredible programs at the Component Board Member Orientation on May 13 on the Yorktown campus. Both alums and current students raved about their experiences in PNW BOCES programs. Photography student Sophia Jones took visitors’ head shots, and Fox Meadow student artist Jordyn Frias demonstrated his painting technique, giving away more than a dozen of his works. #pnwboces #wecandothat

A tasty tradition continues at PNW BOCES. Graduating Culinary students were treated to the annual senior luncheon on Wednesday, May 7. They enjoyed a sumptuous meal and a dessert of strawberry Tiramisu prepared by first year Culinary students. Herbs used in the seniors’ canape projects were handed out as favors, along with recipes they used. Each senior also brought along an honored guest from their home school. #pnwboces #wecandothat @pnwbocestech
