I live right next to a newly locked-down suburb in Melbourne. I have canceled all plans for my 50th birthday. I’ll lock down again if asked. Why? Cos when I left London in March, the UK had 140 deaths. They now have over 40,000. I’d rather be safe.

“The statement from the Catholic bishops is pathetically inadequate. Archbishop Philip Wilson has no choice now but to resign as the Archbishop of Adelaide, send a note to the Pope & resign immediately, because he has been found guilty in a court of law” @PaulBongiorno #TheDrum

Catholic clergy abuse survivors Peter Creigh & Daniel Feenan embrace following the guilty verdict of Archbishop Philip Wilson for concealing child abuse. Had Wilson acted on Peter's complaint, Daniel & others would not have been abused by Fr Fletcher

The conviction of Archbishop of Adelaide Philip Wilson is very significant. No longer will those who cover up child abuse be allowed to hide. My heart goes out to all survivors who have bravely fought for justice.
