I want to give a shoutout to River Esk celebrating its centenary at RH&DR. In 2013, the engine getting heavily damaged by arson. Apart from its boiler, wheels and frame, the original parts of the locomotive were destroyed beyond its repairs.

Despite this, the talented engineer, Nigel Day and the people of Ravenglass put tremendous efforts to restore the engine from almost scratch to its former glory. This locomotive is indeed the fruit of people's labour who never gave up hope.
