South Africa. We can today reveal that the Police Ministry spends R24 million per year on salaries for private officers of the minister and deputy ministers. Our tax money to hire staff for politicians. This is the highest we have found to date. Others include: The Minister of Agriculture, John Steenhuisen who has a staff complement of 18 people across both offices, costing a staggering R14.2 million annually. The Minister of International Relations and Co-operation, Ronald Lamola, oversees 22 staff members with a total salary bill of over R15 million The Minister of Employment and Labour, Nomakhosazana Meth, in a department tasked with addressing unemployment, maintains 23 staff members, costing R17.8 million. We are paying too much and receiving too little from these ministers.
