In 2024 we embarked on an exciting new part of the Project in collaboration with @Sydney_Uni, @UNSW and @Flinders University.
The aim is to quantify the environmental changes from the restoration works by comparing pre and post-restoration conditions.

Who's clinging onto the summer break like the Eastern Clingfish?
Found in the tide pools, sponges and seagrass meadows of Sydney Harbour, they’re masters of camouflage, blending in perfectly with their surroundings.

Life in the Kelp!
We spend alot of time in kelp and if you blink you can miss the incredible marine life living within it. Kelp forests in Sydney Harbour provide significant habitat, refuge and food source for many species.
Tis' the season to be a gobbleguts.

Here we see the male carrying the eggs in its mouth until they are ready to be released.
Over the next few months we will be highlighting the many marine species that live within the habitats we are restoring. Kicking off with a crowd favourite, the Octopus!
