With all these Elon trillionaire takes, I’m now curious about what the market impact of trying to monetize those positions would be.

The most interesting thing about the $SPCX IPO was learning the name of the company. Legit thought SpaceX was a mononym, like Cher. Actually had to google to verify the ticker cause I figured “Space Exploration Technologies Corp” was a different company.

Sorta stupid, but something I changed recently: wiring out on Thursday instead of Friday. Stupid trick, but it takes a lot of pressure off Friday - Feels like a clean slate vs “losing” whatever I’m taking out of the account right before the weekend.

I had an interesting dialog with Fable 5 on how the foundation model labs turn a profit. Here was the conclusion. Fable: My honest bottom line, with my conflict of interest restated plainly: the original question — "how do the labs turn a profit?" — has, after pricing everything, a stark answer. On the current cost trajectory and capital structure, they don't, in any conventional sense. Conventional profitability would require a macroeconomic miracle delivered on a loan officer's timetable. The investment is rational only as a race: either machine intelligence starts improving itself fast enough to dissolve the cost curve before the interest comes due, or this is the largest, most productive misallocation of capital since the railroads — real infrastructure, real technology, ruined balance sheets. Sharing the entire conversation. Your mileage may vary, but interesting nonetheless.

The latest in the comedy of errors that is having cats lmao. Bed decided to explosively disassemble itself. By itself a non-issue, but now the machine is throwing an error. I imagine when I dig into its guts later today, I’ll discover quite a bit of this stuffing crammed in the drain filter. This pic doesn’t really capture the brutal beauty of the bed failure. There’s this old prank: pack a can of shaving cream in dry ice. Wait until it’s frozen hard as a coffin nail. Cut the can open, throw the (temporarily) condensed contents in the car of an individual who deserves it. Wait. Works better in the summer. That’s about what I was greeted to, a few minutes before deciding to pause and document the event.

I guess in a Trump market the only rational hedge you can put on is of the Texan variety.

For a lot of topics, “you hold a PhD in XYZ field. Answer this query as if you were speaking to a first year grad student” is a decent way to get an LLM to output informationally dense answers.

Idk why, but it feels like there’s more headline risk than usual today.

While I was gutting the master bath today, this little bastard showed up in the yard. “Little bastard” cause he bit the missus while she was seeing if there was a microchip. Prophylactic rabies antibiotic shot for her, mountain of cat food for him later, all is well. We’re full up on cats, but damn he’s cute. Probably 8-10 weeks old, shouldn’t be hard to adopt out. Happy hump day lmao.

reddit.com/r/LocalLLaMA/s/nP… Interesting work. Since DFlash started getting attention, I’ve figured the next logical step for LLMs would be to add a diffusion head.

I can always tell when there’s bread coming, cause my better half starts putting covered bowls in my office. For better or worse, I grew up in Redding, where 110 is a cold snap. I still keep my office in the 80s-90s throughout the year when I’m in there.

Lmao SOXL - Just a casual $40 move off the lows in 90 minutes, no big deal.

Interesting we’re getting escalatory tweets on a red day like today. Not saying it’ll happen, but that “a civilization will cease to exist” tweet right before the first peace tweet sure as hell got people offsides for a squeeze.

Indexes, metals, crude. This smells of a corr=1 panic liquidation. Maybe we’ll declare war on, then victory over, the UK by the close. Should get us back to ATH.

Happy Monday. Friday started buying - UPRO, TQQQ, SOXL, AGQ, UGL, UCO. Sold the SOXL @ 218 and change, holding the rest. Fwiw I’m an AI bear - This shit ain’t ending well. But, I also like money… and now that I’m re-reading this tweet: if @ProShares wants to send me a hat or something, I wouldn’t complain. 😉

Nearing an agreement. On a framework. That would enable parties to *come to the negotiating table*. With this much progress, I can’t believe CL isn’t trading at 60.
Trump told Netanyahu that he believes the US and Iran are nearing an agreement on a framework that would enable the parties to come to the negotiating table toward a long-term agreement. - N12 News citing Report
