💐 Selena Yip, Executive Director of @PAAFF
Selena joined PAAFF in 2018 and became the Festival Director in 2020. They hope to lead PAAFF to becoming a nourishing and creative space that fully represents the diversity of the Asian and Pacific Islander diaspora!
Film Club starts on March 16th at 6PM EST/ 3PM PST with a discussion on Martika Ramirez Escobar’s debut feature Leonor Will Never Die. What would it look like if you had to live out the events of your own unfinished screenplay? Let’s discuss! paaff.org/filmclub
Looking at pics of @PAAFF from the last two weeks and seeing everyone wearing masks (KN95 and N95 only) reminds me that it is not difficult to create community spaces that are inclusive, accessible, and safeR for everyone.
#AsianRepresentation is about more than just an #AllAsianCast. If you support Asians & Pacific Islanders in film, you need to support A&PIs in front of and behind the camera. And that is what we hope people will see this year at @PAAFF
Very simply put. #Representation extends beyond what we see on screen. And this is the first time we are opening AND closing our festival with films produced and directed by Asian Americans, about stories outside of just the Asian American experience.
Okay I'm gonna talk about why I'm so proud of @PAAFF's lineup this year, specifically our Opening and Closing night films, Blind Eye Artist and Ricochet.
Every year, the Philadelphia Asian American Film Festival @PAAFF puts together the best in Asian & Pacific Islander diasporic film, storytelling & performance for the largest Asian American film festival in the region. Get tickets at paaff.org#PAAFF#AsiansInFilm
From the artist: "I’m honored again to tackle PAAFF festival branding this year tackling intersectionality and the complexity of OUR identities and labels. Philadelphia is home to over 100 neighborhoods that our identities walked and weaved through. instagram.com/p/Cj08CQJufqe/

Study confirms that HEPA filters work on SARS-CoV-2, of course. Note that antiviral coating doesn't affect removal from air, since it's a physical process. I sketched expected ratio of concentration at time t to initial concentration as function of t. /1 journals.asm.org/doi/full/10…
