Came into the year as my most anticipated rookie and left as one of my five favorite players. What an absurd talent, and he’s only scratching the surface

If Victor Wembanyama makes people this psychotic when they beat him. I can only imagine what they’ll do to themselves once he wins a championship. It’ll be funny either way.

I’m expecting The San Antonio Spurs to win the NBA finals next year. That’s the standard & they better get used to that after this debacle of a finals The Spurs had.

A faith that stops at trusting a promise but never continues in love, repentance, and obedience is not the faith taught by Christ and His Apostles. Mere belief won’t save you. Even the demons believe.

This postseason, Spurs' 22-and-under players have produced 1,325 points. That is the most such points by any team in a single playoff run in @NBA history. 2026 Spurs - 1,325 points 2011 Thunder - 1,280 2021 Hawks - 765 2018 Celtics - 679 2007 Cavaliers - 666

SGA is better than JB OKC, with their experience, would have beaten NYK
It's NOT an overreaction to call Jalen Brunson the best player in the NBA right now. Finals MVP. Mr Clutch. 45 points to win a closeout game on the road. (Only ever done by Jordan before). People said Shai was the best player last year when he won, and rightfully so. Be smart.

From watching, I felt like game 5 was his only dominant game at all. OG carried multiple games. It’s all confusing, Bill Simmons turning into First Take aside
Yah way too worried about stats. Brunson had an impact on the game outside of padding stats. Took over every 4th making clutch buckets every game. Carried his team in game 5 with 45. His fg 42 but he shot 39 from 3 and 86 from the ft. Knicks aren’t in this position without him

It’s not a matter of being ashamed, good grief. It’s a matter of accuracy. The anti-Catholics use it as if all Catholics are Roman Catholic. They learned to say “Roman Catholic” from other anti-Catholics. For it does not define the Catholic Church. Roman is just one of the 23 liturgical ‘rites’ within the CATHOLIC CHURCH. Why ignore the other 22 rites?

Youth and inexperience, both can be corrected
"It starts with your identity, where you want to go when the game's on the line. The Knicks have no questions whatsoever... The Spurs had moments where they looked around at each other, unsure about what exactly it is that they wanted to do." – @LegsESPN on the #Spurs

Now that you NY fans cannot shut your mouth about the Spurs, let's talk about this: Brunson's haircut deserves a Flagrant 2. That is one UGLY spaghetti bowl of hair.

"NY Tough" has now become "NY Bitchy" 👇🏽
We need to talk about the officiating during the Finals. It’s not just that the refs gave Wemby a license to play dirty. They gave him a license to play dirty against the superstar who eventually beat him—almost singlehandedly—to close out the Finals. When the Spurs fell behind in that series, I think it became clear to Wemby that his only chance of winning was to send Jalen Brunson to the locker room.  As a Knicks fan, this is atrocious. The refs let our boy get beaten up like a piñata. He could have gotten hurt. But as a basketball fan, this is also just terrible for the game. I get that the league has to protect its assets. But guess what. Jalen Brunson just proved to the league that he is an asset too. So to Adam Silver, I say this: Jalen Brunson better get a different whistle next year.  Because he earned it. It doesn’t have to be the same level as Wemby. Just protect him and don’t let him get beaten up like he’s some no-name guard. As a start, how about you give Wemby a flagrant for this, and suspend him for the first game of the season. Send a message across the whole NBA: show some respect to Jalen Brunson. x.com/KnicksBeast/status/206…

Fair take , Spurs need the experience to understand we need to put away opponents in series faster. Looked psychologically and physically tired games 1-3
"He ran out of gas, that's all that was." Markieff Morris joined First Take to share his thoughts on Wemby's performance in his first NBA Finals 🏆

The internet loves turning people into villains after a loss. All I’ll say is this: the Victor Wembanyama I’ve seen has been respectful, professional, and far from the nasty things talking heads are saying. The loudest takes are the least informed.

» via @allthesmokeprod
