I've accomplished a few things in life. But my proudest achievement is being a good father. My kids have all launched, and are happy, confident, critical thinkers with bright futures.
Anyone can punch out a few kids, make sure they're fed and survive to adulthood.
But being a GOOD parent is no little thing. There is no substitute for putting in the time, teaching them most everthing they know, hitting that sweet spot between kindness and discipline.
Much of the degeneration you see around you today is due to a dearth of good parenting. The family is the cornerstone of society, and everything you enjoy depends on the dedication of good parents.
So yeah, good parenting is one of life's highest ambitions.

TTRPGs are unique in that the rules are secondary to the participants' sense of flow. The game's core mechanism - the GM - has the ability to alter anything within the game environment at any time.
Good GMs use this to match the game more precisely to the group's goals.

I used to want children when I was in my 20s. But then I saw too many friends have children and go from smart, ambitious people to retarded morons who gave up everything they ever wanted to do in life, just because they had a kid and have the gall to defend that behavior. Crazy.

A good chunk of being successful in tabletop RPGs these days is good art.
Not always. There's some fairly minimalist games that are very successful.
But a kickstarter showcasing art that speaks to people (personal tastes aside) is a fairly consistent path to success. The actual rules are often secondary (though being 3rd party for popular systems certainly helps).
At least in my experience.
This isn't a complaint btw. I think having pretty cool art has helped me too.
