Lebanese Resistance Releases Video of Drone Attack on Israeli Tank
The Lebanese Resistance's military media outlets have released a video clip purportedly showing a targeted attack on an Israeli Merkava tank. According to the group's official statement, the incident took place on Sunday, June 7, 2026, near the historic Beaufort Castle (Qal'at al-Shaqif) in southern Lebanon.
The attack was allegedly carried out using a so-called Ababil drone, a type of remotely controlled kamikaze drone. The video footage, which has also been disseminated by regional news channels such as Al-Mayadeen, shows footage taken directly from the drone's built-in camera up until the moment it crashes into its target.
The Lebanese Resistance said in a statement that the operation was carried out in response to what they described as Israeli violations of the current ceasefire and repeated attacks on southern Lebanese villages.
