PROTEST
Chavistas have poured into the streets of Caracas to protest against US military drills involving helicopters, ambulances and firefighters, military personnel, and other security teams.
The exercise was supervised by General Francis Donovan, Head of the US Southern Command.
The Chavistas reject the US military exercise as a clear form of interference in Venezuela.
They chanted “No To The Drill”, “We don’t want to be a US colony” and “Yankee go home” while waving Venezuelan flags.
Victor Romeo, one of the demonstrators told the press “The US exercise is nothing short of a provocation against the Venezuelan people. We are upset by the interference of the United States government”.
Mariela Machado, a leader of the Movement of Residents said “If there is no oil for us, there won’t be any for them either. We will all die, comrades!”
