Clive Barker and Curry Barker should make a movie together called "Barker Barker" about how their ancestors made a "devil at the crossroads" type of bargain with an ancient entity known only as "The Barker", a cosmic creature that communicates through dogs and dreams.
Idk why everyone is suddenly watching this. Did a popular youtuber start it or something?
It's a great series but seems to be having a very random resurgence.
I can't fuck with donghua. The animation usually has a very glossy, hyper-clean CGI aesthetic. There's a distinct lack of "texture" in the art, not my cup of tea.
I've been old head maxxing all of 2026...utena..Akira...ghost in the shell. Like god why did I spend so much of my life being an anime fan who has only experienced the "classics" through cultural osmosis and not firsthand. This shit really is that good
It's the same with endings in general not just specific character arcs. Too many "bad ending" critiques mean "the story didnt validate my prediction."
An ending isnt flawed just because it disappoints your expectations.
This discourse used to be centered around poorly-written character arcs with a lack of a satisfying conclusion. Now it's shifted to, "the author didn't make this happen the way I want it to". People are unable to understand the context for what type of story is being told.
Naoki Urasawa will launch a new manga titled "The Final Manga Classroom" on August 12th!
Urasawa is the Creator of Monster, Pluto, 20th Century Boys, Billy Bat, and more
people dont understand you can amke anything sound problematic as long as you word it dramatic enough. what do you mean you like the manga about a guy with inferiority complex constantly abusing his gf and never apologizing until a 3rd party steps in (<- lovely complex)
"low budget" and it's 10 million ππ gtfoh.
If it's over 500k it isn't low budget to me. I get it's arbitrary but you can't tell me the contest for "best low budget movie" includes Primer, Found etc made with less than 10k but also includes movies made with millions.
This is especially true with the horror genre specifically.
Honestly 500k may be generous. Low budget horror (to me) would usually be 5 figures or less.
I literally watch everything in 2x, any other speed feels slowππ
Even movies, even online coursesβ¦.even voice notes π
I training to transition into 2.2x at least 3x is the goal!!
