Rare footage of the Tiger II with the turret number ‘332’. During the Battle of the Bulge, Sgt. Glenn D. George captured an intact German King Tiger tank numbered “332.” The 463rd Ordnance Evacuation Company recove it for shipment to Aberdeen Proving Ground.

Tiger II, formerly of s.Pz.Abt. 506, was abandoned near Gereonsweiler, Germany. after it was shot in the turret ring. It was fixed up by the US 129th Ordnance Battalion on 15th December 1944. It would break down shortly after and was scrapped.

Tiger II “222” was one of the most recognizable Königstiger tanks of schwere SS-Panzer-Abteilung 501 during the Ardennes Offensive in December 1944. The tank was filmed the most during the Ardennes Offensive It would eventually be destroyed at Stavelot by a M10 tank destroyer.
