Here we go again with these fools.
Wade Robson and James Safechuck have been pursuing these claims for over a decade. The lawsuits were filed in 2013 and 2014, dismissed multiple times, revived through appeals and changes in California law, and are now headed to trial in 2028.
What’s actually new here? Not new evidence. Not criminal charges. Not a conviction. Just another chapter in a legal battle that’s been going on for years.
The irony is that both men previously defended Michael Jackson and testified that he had not abused them before later reversing their positions and pursuing civil claims.
Meanwhile, reports about the litigation have referenced a damages request of roughly $400 million. That’s not pocket change. That’s the kind of number that makes Hollywood accountants suddenly develop stress-related hobbies.
The Michael Jackson estate continues to deny the allegations and insists the claims lack merit. Jackson himself denied wrongdoing during his lifetime and was acquitted in his 2005 criminal trial.
So now we’re apparently getting another round of documentaries, headlines, legal motions, and social media warfare. At this point, the courtroom saga has lasted longer than some network TV shows.
And judging by the drama, plot twists, appeals, and endless sequels, Hollywood may have accidentally created a franchise. I’ve got the popcorn ready. 🍿
Note: Claims about Robson making allegations because he wasn’t hired for a Las Vegas show are disputed and not established as fact, so I’d avoid stating that as a proven motive.
