Yesterday we did the @newtechnetwork card called The Best Answer protocol and added our work to our growing poetry PBL board. This was a great protocol that I’m definitely going to use again! It made the kids really think & used so many deeper learning skills! #ParksideDreamTeam

I adapted a problem from @nrichmaths to introduce our lesson on 2-d shapes. It ended up being trickier than I expected, but there was lots of great thinking happening as partners discussed which shapes to put in the empty boxes. #thinkingclassroom #parksidedreamteam

After given diff. types of soil to explore, they placed a sticky on which one they think plants would grow the best in. Heard “my mom uses this one!” “I don’t see plants grow at the beach.” Even by the end some ended up switching over their sticky notes after our discussion! 🪴
