Poly's 432 solar panels atop Scott and Gamble Gyms are officially online! The clean energy initiative, spearheaded by Upper and Middle School student activism, will offset the gyms' power needs, making this the school's flagship net-zero energy project.

More than 550 grandparents and special friends graced Poly's campus on Friday for our beloved annual tradition. Grandfriends enjoyed the all-school assembly, classroom visits, and meaningful time with their Poly student. We hope everyone has a great holiday week ahead!

The Poly Asian Affinity Group (PAAG) held its first gathering at Star Leaf in Pasadena last week. The K-12 event brought together wonderful community members for a night of laughter and joy. We look forward to more affinity group events to come!

Poly Upper School students in grades 9-11 returned from their weeklong, transformative Outdoor Education experience! This fall, trips went to Jameson Ranch, Point Reyes, Yosemite, Morro Bay, Escalante, and more.

Poly’s Admission team and Student Ambassadors attended the 2024 Private School Village Back-to-School Family Picnic & School Community Fair in Exposition Park this weekend. The team was thrilled to connect with Black and Brown families interested in our school. 🍎📝

As part of Poly kindergarten’s “All About Me” unit, the students completed a project based on the book “The Colors of Us” by Karen Katz. It was a powerful lesson on melanin that celebrates our unique identities.

Student clubs galore took over the Upper School! Recently, we saw two days of the Club Fair with organizations ranging from affinity groups, community engagement, academic teams, and interest/social-based clubs. We can't wait to see how these clubs blossom over the school year!

And they're off! The Class of 2031 left yesterday for three exciting days in Big Bear. The trip marks the first adventure as part of Poly's Outdoor Ed program. We look forward to watching these sixth graders make new and lasting bonds 🧡
