Emergencies and Disasters bring agencies together; but Interoperability brings 1st Responders and Emergency Managers together. Interoperability works; when it fails it’s because someone has chosen not to use it. #Interoperability #EmergencyManagement #FirstResponders #Disasters

Two Ontario Police Officers killed in the line of duty in less than 3 days. There needs to be greater consequences for taking the life of an Officer. Politicians & the media need to stop treating this as a 30 sec.. blip on the newsreel. We mourn for their families 💙💙

Jimmy took this selfie. Walking a little 9 hole golf course in rural New Zealand. Just a random snapshot from 5 decades of pure joy... Not to mention friendship, brotherhood, respect, support and that non-stop smile of his.  I’ve loved every bit of it. -mm

King Kamehameha Day is observed on June 11 as a state holiday in Hawaiʻi to honor the monarch who united the Hawai’ian Islands. Festivities go on several days, featuring floral parades, elaborate lei-draping ceremonies on the king's statues, hula, and hoʻolauleʻa (celebrations).

On behalf of RCMP Members across the country, we share our most profound condolences with the family, friends, and colleagues of Toronto Police Cst. Marc Pinizzotto, who was killed on duty earlier today while heroically protecting his community. Their sacrifice is a reminder of the risks every officer takes to keep others safe, especially during such a difficult week where police officers across the country are already mourning the killing of another officer. We ask our community to join us in holding Cst. Pinizzotto’s family and @TorontoPolice and @TPAca colleagues in your thoughts as we navigate this devastating loss together. Cst. Pinizzotto – thank you for your courage, service, and dedication. We will never forget. #NeverForget Photo: Toronto Police Service

#Oublionsjamais Photo: Toronto Police Service

Today, VicPD was proud to host the Women’s Leadership Luncheon at the Union Club, bringing together women from the Victoria Police Department and leaders from across Victoria’s business community for an afternoon of mentorship, connection, and meaningful conversation. A heartfelt thank you to our financial sponsors, April Dorey Hartwig of the Heart Wealth Management Group Raymond James, and Steph Hartwig, the Development Director for Hartwig Industries, whose vision, generosity, and commitment to supporting women in leadership made this event possible. The luncheon created space for women to share their experiences, learn from one another, build lasting relationships, and strengthen the networks that help women grow and succeed. Through open dialogue and mentorship, participants explored leadership, resilience, career growth, and the importance of lifting others as we rise. It was an inspiring afternoon that showcased the power of women supporting women, while strengthening the connection between VicPD and the communities we proudly serve. #WeAreVicPD #WomenSupportingWomen @ChiefVicPD
