As part of the 495 Express Lanes Northern Extension project, crews will install five steel bridge girders over northbound I-495 at the Dulles Corridor Interchange for a new 495 Express Lanes ramp. This work is scheduled from 9 p.m. Friday, Jan 24 until 5 a.m. Monday, January 27.

Today the Board unanimously approved my request to recognize January as Human Trafficking Awareness Month. We have taken many steps to assist victims, promote awareness and combat trafficking, but much more needs to be done. Thank you to our county staff, FCPD and nonprofits.

This Thursday, January 16th at 7:30pm, join the Springfield District Land Use Committee for their meeting to discuss upcoming land use cases. This meeting will include a presentation on the Fair Ridge Shelter being proposed at the intersection of Rt. 50 and West Ox.
