In a first-of-its-kind program, D.C. DHS’s Peer Case Management Institute prepares people who were once homeless to work as case managers. As Teanna, a graduate, put it, “Having lived experience is so important…we know how the system affects mental health washingtonpost.com/dc-md-va/…

Once homeless, these D.C. peer educators will go on to help pull others up
