Amid a roster that has been virtually revamped since the end of the 2025 season, the Flames return 4 starters on the offensive line. It's a group that will have to lead the offense, at least to begin the season.

I thought he flashed a few times in camp
Tough to evaluate on the few snaps he got in 2025. Few true freshman enter game & prove they are "the guy" immediately. My 1st snaps as a frosh vs WVU felt overwhelming lol
Would love to see him as a Soph w more time/snaps under belt

I have never been at a practice, but Houck looked awesome in the spring game and was the highest rated recruit we had ever had. Obviously didn’t get reps with the ones, what was your opinion of him?

You "take him off the field" b/c:
1. Your O, when clicking, runs the ball 45-50 times/game
2. No RB, at any level, is built for 40 carries per game
3. Teams are better w/ multiple weapons
4. Attrition during season. Need multiple guys to carry the 🏈

I think the sample size is too small to make any judgment at this point. He needs reps when the bullets are flying.
The KSU game - I think he started slow, but looked more comfortable in the 2nd half. Ended up 7/11 for 128 yards in the 2nd half.
Most importantly - no INTs

The following are my opinion
1. Vasko was coaching staff’s “guy”. Brought him in & rode w him
2. Vasko didn’t have highest “ceiling”, but staff prob thought had highest “floor”
3. Gotta b available. JB missed time w injury
4. In camp, JB was inconsistent. Held ball at times

Liberty quarterback Jayden Bradford intends to enter the NCAA transfer portal, per @agentadd1son. He’s a former IMG quarterback who had listed offers from Penn State, South Carolina and Louisville out of IMG. He’ll have three years of eligibility remaining.

Valid question!
Problem is: the Malik’s and Salter’s don’t grow on trees and getting them to LU (especially after this year) is a huge challenge.
I think the 3-4 years of development are over, but 1-2 is certainly still in play

But is development necessary in this day and age? I think if you hit on Malik Willis and Salter’s, you’re golden, I think the days of developing at the D-1 level are going the way of th dinosaurs

Excellent question
IMO - Liberty hasn’t “developed” a QB in quite some time. They’ve benefited from elite playmakers (Salter, Willis, etc) .
A developer evaluator would be ideal. A play caller won’t be as impactful if you don’t have the right pieces in place.

More curious what TYPE of QB coach JC brings in. Experienced playcaller? Great QB developer? Talent evaluator/recruiter? Some combination or maybe 2 of the 3? Which boxes need to be checked most?
