With 35 youth climate activists from 9 countries, we’ve arrived in Strasbourg for the last sitting of the European Parliament before the elections in June We’re here to demand that MEPs stop ripping apart the Green Deal and secure the funds required for a green transition 🌎🚀

The first global temperature data is in for the full month of September. This month was, in my professional opinion as a climate scientist – absolutely gobsmackingly bananas. JRA-55 beat the prior monthly record by over 0.5C, and was around 1.8C warmer than preindutrial levels.

Eyes on the Spanish elections taking place amidst record-breaking heatwaves this Sunday! This is the climate crisis - we need serious climate action & can't afford for Spain to fall into the hands of climate deniers who aim to quit the Paris Agreement #SpainVoteForClimate #23J

Tomorrow the @EUparliament is voting on the EU-Taxonomy. They are deciding if nuclear and gas are "sustainable" investments. ❌SPOILER: They are not! It would only be a present to putin.#Voteitdown #NotMyTaxonomy

Because your government refuses to stop funding the fossil fuel industry. You are the cause of the problem.
Devastating scenes across #Camden and south-west Sydney. This is the fourth time this year that buildings, homes and businesses in the area have been submerged by rising flood water.

"Experts say the flooding emergency has been worsened by climate change"... A polite way of saying that these disasters have been brought to us by the coal, oil and gas corporations, and the politicians that enable them. bbc.com/news/world-australia…

Wow. A rain gauge near Brogers Creek in the Kangaroo Valley, NSW just received 868mm of rain during the 78 hours ending at 3pm on Monday. This is more rain than Melbourne, Canberra, Adelaide, Hobart or Perth typically receive in an entire year.
