Recently got my hands on a translation of Thiago Motta's thesis for his UEFA pro license and one thing that immediately stuck out to me was his emphasis on "technical trust" - a team's ability to trust in one another to receive passes in difficult positions and continue the play

Pretty much my views - a lot of ifs to make this a good signing and I would rather buy the position we need more first instead of adding to our stable of B2B midfielders, but he would be the best one of those B2B players we have bought in droves
Don’t like him as a 6, personally. But Spurs will partner him with a ball-player and if they can trim down the few around him ~ it’ll be a good signing.
