On Friday some of our women met with @HaltonBC to talk about the new Family Hubs. We discussed the experiences they’ve had with different services during pregnancy, birth & removals as well as possible improvements. We are so proud of the women for making their voices heard.
ALT Five women sat round a table. In the middle of the table are sheets of paper with a road map drawn in the middle. There are different thoughts and feelings written around the road to describe how they felt during this stage of their journey.
ALT Discussions between three women and a representative of Halton Council.
ALT Drawing of a road map with the title Birth. Around the road are different feelings related to that period such as: lonely, lack of confidence and scared.
Today we are at the launch of @HaltonBC Family Hubs. We are so excited to see the impact this will have on families in the local area. Thank you to Halton’s Children Services for inviting us.

We are having a brief resurrection of our #MeetTheTeam posts as we welcome our new Practitioner, Beth. Beth joins us from Families First in Trafford. Beth's background as a social worker has already brought a wealth of knowledge to the team. Welcome Beth!
We are back again with a #5Things Weekly Roundup.
Every week is different in a Pause Practice but we love working with women to help achieve their goals.
This #FeedbackFriday we are sharing some feedback from a Social Worker about one of our women. We keep our women’s children at the centre of the work we do and work with many of them on improvising their relationship with their children. #TheDifferenceARelationshipMakes
ALT Feedback Friday
“Since working with Pause we have seen a significant improvement with commitment and engagement during contact with her child. Where there has previously been struggles with attending contact, she has now not missed a single contact. She engages well with social workers and the family support worker and regularly asks the foster cater for updates.”

Quote - "This year has been a year with a lot of change. As a Practice Lead I have felt incredibly proud of everything the team and the women have achieved. Women from both Local Authorities have experienced a lot of firsts this year which has been very special. We have been able to build some amazing relationships with partner agencies which we hope will continue into the new year. I am excited to see what is in store for us in 2023." (Lindsey Clarke, Practice Lead)
As part of our Christmas packs this year we included a Penny Pinching Guide, inspired by @pauserotherham. With the cost of living increasing, many women have expressed concerns about their finances. It includes: useful contacts, meal guides, budget shopping lists & heating tips.
We are back with another roundup of what we are proud of this week. It has been a very varied week with some ups and downs but we are very proud of all the women for making steps to help themselves.
