When I decided to become a behaviourist I was determined to do it properly so I signed up for an accredited 18 month, level 6 (degree equivalent) course. It's been hard work but I've learned so much to go along with 25 years of owning dogs

Fully endorse @PawsAndReflect1 Victoria is working with me & my young GSD who came with no backstory so no prior information to work with. Her knowledge, understanding and support is amazing, non judgemental and clearly loves dogs #dogs #fireworks

She's still got an infected ear so the lovely vet popped a 4 week antibiotic implant in there to see if that sorts it

Yesterday was my first experience of working with a blind client & her guide dog. I'd given lots of thought to how we could adapt certain things so that they would be achievable, although my client can do many things a lot of sighted owners don't do!

Today I've been working with Ghost (a German Shepherd x rottweiler x dalmation who looks like a black lab) who is a guide dog and a very good job he does too.
His furbro Hans the sprocker made sure he got his share of fuss and treats too π

I've been back to see Leo the lab & Eriskay came to work on his socialisation
He'd been barking & lunging at dogs but today was calm & enjoyed searching for treats with Eriskay
Last time Leo was very bouncy & frequently jumped up but Leo's mum gets 10/10 for doing her homeworkπ

He gifted me an incredible portrait of Ronnieπ when we lost him & last week sent the most stunning portrait of Snoopyπ as a birthday present, he also sent Vicky Carney a beautiful portrait of her beautiful Briarπ He captures their character & soul perfectly
