Grey Seal distress - we were sent this video from a member of the public. The individual approaches the haul out despite them looking alert and distressed resulting in the colony flushing on mass. On this occasion 2 seal pups were abandoned. KEEP YOUR DISTANCE #Seals

On Monday 5th June at 14:36 our ALB was requested to launch to transport Firefighters from Seahouses FRS to attend a fire on Holy Island. The ALB was launched and en-route when it was stood down by Humber CG as Berwick FRS were in attendance.
On Tuesday 6th June at 16:25 our ILB was paged to reports of two cars containing an unknown number of casualties stuck on Holy Island Causeway. The ILB launched and made best speed to the scene where they found two casualties at the refuge box with Holy Island CRT.

They are not suitable for use at the beach because they are so vulnerable to going adrift on the tide or wind, and should be left at home.”

On Thursday 1st June 2023 at 13:38hr Seahouses Inshore Lifeboat was requested to launch to assist 2 adults and a child in a car cut off by the tide on Holy Island Causeway.
