A month ago, our Head of Workforce Management Europe, Dee Coakley, was invited to the first official dinner of its kind at Leinster House, bringing together Irish and international CEOs of remote-first companies with Ministers shaping Ireland’s economic policy to discuss how to position Ireland as a global hub for remote work and attract more international roles.
Dee joined leaders from eBay, Revolut, Hostelworld, Nearform, Mural and others, alongside Ministers Peter Burke and Alan Dillon.
Key takeaways:
🇮🇪 Ireland is positioned to lead in remote work
A strong mix of competitive employment costs and employer-friendly legislation gives Ireland a clear edge in attracting global talent.
⚠️ There is clear alignment between policy and industry
Direct engagement between the government and remote-first companies reflects a shared ambition to bring more international roles into Ireland.
📈 Scale comes from execution, not intent
Through Payoneer Workforce Management, we have already supported many hires in Ireland for international customers, turning opportunity into real outcomes.
The event was hosted by Assistant Government Chief Whip Emer Currie and organised by Grow Remote. Thank you for having us.
