Globally, the proportion of the population identifying as White has been decreasing since 1900. In 1900, Europe held a quarter of the world's population. This share is predicted to shrink to 7% by 2050. Simultaneously, the population of non-Hispanic whites has decreased by 3%. Globally, the percentage of people identifying as white is estimated to be around 16%, with some estimates as low as 7%.
