Peculiar inflation rate between @oflynnssausages Winthrop street and @EnglishMarket - €2 for two plain sausages downtown last week... €4 for the same in the market this morning 😂

Taoiseach & Minister Murphy should knock on the doors of the Northside of Cork and they would find out pretty quickly what people think of their failed housing policies. Photos of hard hats and shovels in the middle of a by-election won’t cut it.

I believe they also invented the Mocha. It was such a popular drink that it would often be stolen out of the hands of the owner who would then shout “Mo cha tóg”, meaning that’s “Mine not take”. As the thief would often be gone quickly, they dropped the tóg, & the Mocha was born

Sad to see @thetimesIE closing its doors today. Some top class reporting and analysis from this publication over past 4 years. We have to ask do we want quality journalism, and if so, are we willing to pay for it? Democracy needs professional determined journalism. #BuyaPaper
