#dearGreatGrandchild before I picked up a camera, I only saw what was right in front of me - the obvious, the shiny, the easy.
But slowly I learned: keep your eyes open, stay observant, and you'll find beauty in the strangest places and circumstances. In cracked walls, unusual perspectives, quiet moments on the street.
In life it's the same. Look for the good, the real, the imperfect, and you're most likely to find it.
It reminds me of a line from my favorite band,
@PearlJam, in "Thumbing My Way":
"All the rusted signs we ignored throughout our lives, choosing the shiny ones instead."
There's wisdom and beauty in the overlooked. Don't rush past it.
What’s something "rusted" or imperfect you've come to appreciate?
