Sinn Féin has always been clear: the EU Migration Pact is not in Ireland’s interest. It is the Irish people who are best placed to make our decisions, not Europe. Fianna Fáil and Fine Gael are wrong to hand over sovereignty on this issue. Sinn Féin will be calling for a special debate in the Dáil this week. TDs will have an opportunity to vote in support of the debate taking place. We need an international protection system that is fair, managed and properly enforced - one that the people can have confidence in.

Over €30 billion loss in taxpayers’ money and a government who refuse to tell the the truth in relation to NAMA. Another example of how the vested interests are protected at the expense of the Irish public. The public deserves to see what really happened, it’s their money. But once again government close ranks.

“We are the largest party of the working class. I don’t need anyone to define my politics. I’m an Irish republican. I come from a working class constituency. I’m a United Irelander. I believe in fairness, I believe in justice and I have an ambition for this country. What I want is a government without Fianna Fáil and Fine Gael… and I’m prepared to work to make it a reality” @davidcullinane

Stop the Game! The Irish government should do the right thing and withdraw its support for the Ireland vs Israel match going ahead.

Today I urged Simon Harris and his governnment to reopen the July Provision portal to ensure children with additional needs and their families get access to the support they need. His commitment to extend the application time is welcome. This should not have happened and the government must now resolve this as soon as possible and ensure parents are not left worrying any longer.

I’ve been talking to parents who are worried after the July Provision portal was only open for one week. Many schools simply didn’t have enough time to submit applications, and parents are now concerned their children could miss out on important supports this summer. I’m urging the Department of Education to reopen the portal and give schools and families more time to apply. The July Provision scheme is hugely important for children with additional needs and their families, and we need to make sure every child who needs that support can access it. If you’ve been affected, get in touch. I’ll keep pushing for this to be resolved.

Fianna Fáil and Fine Gael’s budget last October left people with disabilities €1400 worse off. Since then life has become so much harder for everyone but all the more so if you’re a disabled person. Our Dáil motion tonight calls for two things - an immediate emergency €500 now and the introduction of a new permanent cost of disability payment.

Aaron Langan and Diarmuid O’Sullivan are two young boys from Donegal who urgently need and deserve access to life-changing treatment for Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy. It is heartbreaking what their families are going through. No parent should be forced to watch their child suffer. The government must intervene now and ensure this drug is made available without further delay.

€127,000 for another bike shed under this government, while ordinary workers and families are told to tighten their belts and wait until next year’s budget for support. The priorities of Fianna Fáil and Fine Gael are laid bare once again. This cannot continue. Taxpayers’ money should be invested in the things that matter. People deserve a government that puts them first.

My message to the people of Ireland is clear: do not lose hope. We can, and we must, build an Ireland where ordinary people come first. We will end partition. We will build a real republic. Hold firm. Stay tight. We will deliver on that promise.

Housing and the cost of living, two of the greatest failures of Fine Gael and Fianna Fáil. I will always stand up for workers and families in Dublin Central who have been so let down by this government, put to the pin of their collar and whose voices have been ignored for far too long. You can send the strongest possible message to this government that you've had enough and they must take real action now. Vótáil Sinn Féin's Janice Boylan No. 1 on Friday May 22nd.

The government must listen to the people and bring forward an emergency cost of living package now. With billions sitting in surplus, there is no excuse for inaction. It is a political choice to leave people struggling and to refuse to use this money to make a real difference for workers and families. People are working hard, doing everything right, and still can’t keep up. They need leadership and they need real action to make life more affordable now. I am more determined than ever to fight your corner until you and your family get what you deserve.
