I got totally on board with this idea after I started working on this story. I typically don't buy a lot of gifts because it feels wasteful, but there's a lot less consumer guilt for me in giving second hand items. I may be coming at this from the opposite side as many, though.

.@HamiltonPolice chief Bergen just did his update at the police board. He described a program where officers and volunteers collect and hand out winter coats to people who need them. He said this year almost 400 people came for a coat, the highest number ever.
