Players entering your final season of collegiate football eligibility When should you start speaking to an agent or agency? What should you look for? Remember, you cannot sign with an agent or an agency until the second after your eligibility ends- you can talk to agents and agencies now and agents and agencies can reach out to you now. No signing until collegiate eligibility is finished. Most importantly, make sure the agent you’re talking to is certified by the NFLPA. We earned that title by going through an excruciating exam with a 38% pass rate the year I took it. That’s a lower pass rate than the New York State Bar Exam. We knowthe 500 page CBA and the side letters, we earned that title-there are people out there misrepresenting that they are NFL agents. They cannot negotiate NFL contracts on your behalf if they are not NFLPA certified. Do your due diligence. Go to the NFLPA website. #nflpa #nfl
