I'm thrilled to attend the American
@publicpowerorg (APPA) National Conference this week in New Orleans.
For those who may not be familiar, the American Public Power Association is the voice for our nation's not-for-profit, community-owned electric utilities. These utilities power towns and cities nationwide, serving over 50 million Americans. APPA provides crucial advocacy, education, and support to these organizations, empowering them to deliver reliable, affordable, and environmentally responsible electricity.
The APPA National Conference is the premier event for public power leaders, bringing together utility professionals, policymakers, and industry experts. The discussions and collaborations here are instrumental in shaping the future of public power, addressing key issues like the energy transition, grid modernization, physical security, and customer engagement.
I am particularly interested in the sessions and conversations around protecting our critical infrastructure and enhancing physical security for our vital energy assets. Ensuring the resilience of our power grid is a shared responsibility, and I look forward to connecting with colleagues to share insights and learn from your experiences.
I'd welcome the opportunity to connect if you're also at the APPA National Conference. Please stop by booth 513 to discuss how we can work together to build a more secure and sustainable energy future for all.
