Weird request: each term, I use Mad Men's "Carousel" to talk to my students about presentation design. But it's getting a bit old. Are there any more recent examples of fictional presentations?

Even if Pyro's fire control is better than Johnny's--a really, really big if!--that doesn't change the fact that HT is also immune to fire. How this fight goes is that he walks up to Pyro, manually tugs off the hose that connects Pyro's fire tank, and punches him out.
"Pyro CONTROLS fire" Human Torch doesn't????

Or alternatively, only of these guys can fly. So Johnny lifts Pyro up, and he doesn't get to come down till he surrenders.

This goes for podcasts too! Most podcasts give the game's title at the start of the discussion, but it can be up to 20 mins, if ever, before its mentioned again.

PLEASE PUT THE NAME OF THE GAME YOU'RE PLAYING IN YOUR STREAMS/VIDEOS. A dev on Reddit had their game get a burst of virality on TikTok and YouTube and reached ~6 million views total, and broke down how this translated into people actually playing their game, and it's devastating

There's a recent Halloween Marvel special where the Vision plays the role of Scarlet Witch's doofy ex, and honestly, that's probably his best case end game at the moment.

On this Thanksgiving, I give thanks for the most perfect use of a song in a superhero setting.

Im my 30s, I bought wrong charger cable for my phone. I returned it, and the 20 something sales clerk says, don't worry, my mother makes that mistake too.

If you’ve worked on a triple-A superhero game in some capacity, I’d love to chat with you for a story. Anonymity OK! Just want to pick your brain on the big picture difficulties of working on licensed games of this nature. Hit me up! RTs appreciated.

I would *so much* like this to be returned to live action Joker. Yes, he's Machiavellian, and ruthless, and cruel, but he's also goofy and incredibly petty.

Very much this! I'm reading Marjorie Liu’s X-23 series for the first time, and enjoying it incredibly, but it works mostly* because of its excellent supporting fr Wolverine and Gambit. It even has some great bits with Vampire Jubilee. *Takeda's coloring doesn't hurt either

My first horror movie was The Good Son, because my parents made a miscalculation as to what genres Macaulay Culkin was participating in.
Everybody’s first horror movie was Scream or Halloween. Prove me wrong!

Usually these Mirrored Game Covers are just a bit of mild weirdness, but this one looks like a pornographic MAD fold-in.

Having finished the game,I enjoyed it a lot. And boy did it take the point below and run with it! Very much a game I had a good time with.
Playing In Stars and Time, a time loop RPG. I've hit a point where my timelooping character is much stronger than the rest of the party; that does a really nice job of conveying their narrative weariness in a mechanics way.

Optional boss should definitely not have been so narrowly accessible, tho. Having to watch a youtube video for major narrative and emotional beats because I missed a small event did not feel great.

It's my birthday tomorrow, and I'm looking for recommendations: things to read, things to watch, things to play, etc. Anything you've enjoyed that you'd recommend to someone else. More obscure, the better!
