A really important report from @csjthinktank on government debt collection. It feels like reform is coming - when good things happen, we may well look back at the NAO's intervention and this CSJ #CollectingDust report as the two events that moved the dial 🤞 Great work @JoeShalam

Debt collectors are regulated. Even debt advice charities are regulated. But somehow bailiffs still not regulated, even though their intrusive powers have huge potential for harm. It's very much time for change.

In the year since we gave Government evidence on how desperately the bailiff industry needs reform, @CitizensAdvice has received 111,081 reports of issues with bailiffs. Enough is enough. It’s time for @MoJGovUK to move forward with #bailiffreform ow.ly/SwN450yo2SQ

Unauthorised 'clone’ firms are using altered versions of StepChange (e.g. 'Step to Change' or 'Step Changing') and other charities' names to convince people they're genuine debt advice services. They're not genuine. They're scams. 1/4
