🌊🚢 Our Greater Tortue Ahmeyim (GTA) Phase 1 project is making waves! This floating liquified natural gas (FLNG) facility, a crucial component of the project, has arrived at the GTA Hub on the border of Mauritania and Senegal.
Its main function is to cryogenically cool the extracted #NaturalGas to a liquid, reducing its volume by 600 times, making it more efficient for transport. When fully operational, it’s designed to liquefy 2.3 million tonnes of #LNG per annum – enough to fill the equivalent of five Empire State buildings. 🏢
This marks another significant stride toward the safe delivery and start-up of GTA – stay tuned for updates. 👀
