The only real conclusion we can draw from the fact that 85% of the /England) squad signed for academies at the age of 8 is that 8 is the earliest age you can register for an academy. Correlation is not causation.

Having experienced the negative end of this topic as described in the last few days, I strongly urge those involved in GAA go-games to read this. Inclusion is everything. As a coach, no All-Irelands are won at 11 years old. Cop the fuck on to yourself.

My "Miracle" today was to get to stand on the side of the 18th on Course 3 of @MedinahCC. I could feel the greatness that stood there before me.

A great post to start any internal club conversation. Tweak for smaller side games.
To those on bench, give them a job of observing the play and contributing to the half time/end of game team talk.
Develop leaders without them knowing it.

On Friday night next we have a table quiz in the club. We ask for as much support as possible. All proceeds go towards the Bord Na Nog and LGFA underage teams. This is a great opportunity for a bit of fun while contributing to our clubs young people.
