$130B in data center projects blocked by protests in 2026. Not a supply chain problem, a community problem. AI's biggest bottleneck isn't chips; it's NIMBY. WIRED confirmed it: no China conspiracy, just neighbors who don't want the noise. articles.phantom-byte.com/th…

The ones putting out open source projects? They're the real heroes of the AI industry. No question.

OpenAI filed IPO paperwork today. The biggest private AI company is going public. After the Anthropic mess, this could be a good investment. I like open source, but this could still make you money.

AI subscription prices are climbing fast, and companies are quietly swapping premium US models for Chinese LLMs. DeepSeek and Qwen at half the cost. Cost-driven model switching is the new normal. Open source is king. 👑

A German court just ruled Google is liable for false AI overviews. The court said AI summaries create "independent statements," not links. This strips away the safe harbor every AI company has been hiding behind.

Open source AI is king, and hopefully this Anthropic situation is making people see that. If you can, run some local models. Never underestimate the government's ability to screw things up. 👀 Doesn't matter which party is in power; that's one thing that never changes.

Visa just gave AI agents credit cards. Your bot can now book flights, buy SaaS, and spend your money with no human in the loop. The payment infrastructure for autonomous agents just went live. Is this a good idea or a bad one?

I do NOT support the Anthropic global pause; however, they did ask for it just a few weeks ago. The only difference is they wanted the other labs to be paused too. Learning lesson: be careful what you ask for.

The AI price war is here. DeepSeek, Qwen, and open-weight models drove API prices down 80-90%. OpenAI and Anthropic built their business on premium pricing. The math has changed. 👀 DeepSeek V4 Flash and Pro are my daily drivers, my favorite models by far.

DeepMind just dropped $10M to study what happens when millions of AI agents interact. Their timeline: a few months. Multi-agent safety doesn't have a research field yet. That should scare you.

Anthropic apologized for hiding guardrails in Fable 5. The model also won't answer basic biology questions. Microsoft banned it internally. Three days, three crises. Trust is the casualty.

Agentjacking poisons package registries to trick AI coding agents into installing malware. Your dev tool is now the attack surface. Supply chain security just got a whole new dimension.

Jeff Bezos just dropped $12B on Prometheus. An AI that designs factories, drugs, and robots. Software AI was the warmup. The physical world is the real game. Pay attention.

OpenAI ($1T), Anthropic ($965B), and SpaceX ($75B) are racing to go public. Florida child safety suit FSB warning land at the wrong moment. $3.6T question: will markets validate AI valuations or reset them?

It really does. My agents have been on autopilot, with me checking in on their work here and there. Once you iron out the skills, you connect them all to create a larger workflow running automatically. The hardest part is finding new things for myself to do.

This is NOT a good way to promote anything. If a person spends this little effort building their social media accounts, what are the chances the products they build are made with the same low effort?

Knowing the lingo and knowing how to code are two different things. You can drop ‘transformers’, ‘backprop’, and ‘LLM fine-tuning’ all day, but until you’ve built, debugged, and shipped real AI projects, it’s just vocabulary. Start coding. 🚀
