On the sidelines of the Education World Forum 2026 in London, I signed a landmark partnership with @coursera to launch the Digital Training Academy (DTA), a major initiative designed to equip Nigerian youths with globally competitive digital skills. Through this programme, young Nigerians will receive world class training in Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, Cybersecurity, Cloud Computing, Software Engineering and other high demand digital fields, while earning globally recognised certifications valued by employers across the world. In a landmark investment under the Renewed Hope Agenda of President @officialABAT, GCFR, the Federal Government has fully funded 36,000 licences across Coursera and @pluralsight in the first year alone ensuring that financial barriers do not prevent any Nigerian youth from accessing world class digital education. This is one of the largest government funded digital skills investments in Nigeriaโ€™s history. The programme will be implemented in partnership with the National Open University of Nigeria (NOUN) and Yaba College of Technology (YABATECH), combining nationwide access with industry focused mentorship and support. Digital competency is no longer optional. It is foundational. We are building a generation of young Nigerians that can compete, lead and thrive in the global digital economy. My sincere appreciation to Coursera, NOUN and YABATECH for partnering with us to make this vision a reality.

I hosted a US billionaire in Lagosโ€ฆ and I didnโ€™t even know it would actually happen. In 2019, Jack Dorsey tweeted he was coming to Africa โ€” and Nigeria was on the list. By the Way, Jack Dorsey was the co-founder and CEO of X, formerly Twitter. He is currently worth $6.3 Billion. The moment I saw that tweet, I told my team: we have to host him.โ€ No invite. No connection. Just belief. I started reaching out to anyone I knew at Twitter. Eventually, one person replied: โ€˜Iโ€™ll check whoโ€™s handling the trip. Days laterโ€ฆ silence. Then suddenly, I get introduced to his Chief of Staff. And everything started moving fast. Next thing: background checks. The security team shows up in our office 2 days before for inspection. At that point, it became real.โ€ Then boom, Jack Dorsey and his leadership team are sitting in my office in Lagos.โ€ That one visit changed everything for us, It turned our office into a global stop for international leaders.โ€ But hereโ€™s the craziest partโ€ฆ There was no special access. No guaranteed outcome. We just decided it was possible โ€” and moved. So next time youโ€™re doubting yourselfโ€ฆ Try first. You donโ€™t need permission to go for big opportunities.

This young man has taken advantage of that provision, which gives individuals, businesses, estates, factories, and communities the ability to generate up to 1 megawatt (1MW) of electricity without obtaining a license from the Nigerian Electricity Regulatory Commission (NERC). As a stakeholder in the sector, this could be another opportunity for the government to reduce its over-dependency on the national grid. Kudos to this young man, he has surely gotten the grip on his house network, with a proper metering and monitoring system for his neighbours.

Most people will end today exactly where they started. Give this one hour instead. This lecture from Massachusetts Institute of Technology breaks down wealth, compounding, and long-term thinking in a way most financial advice never does. Itโ€™s less about chasing money and more about understanding how lasting wealth is actually built. Traditional finance often teaches you how to work inside the system. This helps you think about creating something that works for you. Watch it tonight and youโ€™ll probably see money decisions differently by the end of the week. Small shifts in thinking can compound for years. Free to watch. Save it before you forget.

BIG ENERGY: I am pleased to announce that NNPC Limited has successfully completed the River Niger crossing of the OB3 Gas Pipeline. Executed 2km beneath the riverbed using advanced HDD technology, this milestone unlocks a transport capacity of 2 billion scf/dayโ€”strengthening Nigeriaโ€™s energy security, power generation, and industrial growth. It also builds on our AKK crossing success and reflects disciplined execution, innovative engineering, and the unwavering commitment of our team and partner, PCE Nig. Limited. I thank Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR, for his Gas-to-Prosperity agenda, our Board under Chairman Ahmadu Musa Kida, the host communities, and the resilient team at NGIC for their steadfast support and commitment. The OB3 Pipeline links East to West and connects to the Northern corridor via the AKK Pipeline, unlocking over 500 million scf/day of domestic gas. The AKK will supply power plants, fertiliser, manufacturing, and new industries across Kaduna, Kano, and beyond, driving job creation, economic diversification, energy access, and West African exports.

One mistake Africans make when it comes to money is that they do not maintain capital. They earn money and build a house, buy a car, help people in the village, throw parties. They do not keep capital, they do not collaborate with others who have capital. Ownership of capital is how keep wealth over the long run. If 5 people can jointly field 1bn, they can make more from the 1bn together than if they each had 200m. Always grow your capital, and collaborate with people who also have capital so you can join deals. And never be greedy - the bigger your capital, the safer your investment target should be. Work with the same people for long - if you know a retailer who regularly needs 10s of millions for restocking, be their capital provider over years. You too will know the business, and you will have a good sense of how at-risk your capital is. Chasing new ideas is often poor. Many people have technical knowledge or access, but lack cash to execute - if you see them do it 2-5 times, join them on the 6th time with 10% of their need, then 20%, etc. Try to never cross 30% financing, otherwise you are taking all the risk. Keep your capital liquid when it is small and lock up in safe, interest producing assets when it is large. Only ever buy private homes or cars from your interest - your wealth is not your capital, it's your interest.

AFDB approves $200m for Project BRIDGE Last week, the Board of the African Development Bank Group @AfDB_Group approved a $200 million funding for Project BRIDGE โ€” Nigeriaโ€™s most ambitious digital infrastructure initiative, and the largest fibre backbone investment in any developing nation. This is yet another signal, this time from one of Africaโ€™s most important multilateral institutions, that Nigeriaโ€™s digital infrastructure agenda commands serious, sustained institutional confidence. I am grateful to the AfDB for their commitment to this project right from the very beginning and I am glad to welcome them to the growing coalition of global institutions, including the World Bank Group ($500M ) and EBRD ($100m) who have each made deliberate choices to back this vision and make up the sovereign financing required. Nigeria is not waiting for the world to connect us. We are building our own infrastructure and the world is choosing to invest alongside us. ๐Ÿ‡ณ๐Ÿ‡ฌ #ProjectBRIDGE #NigerianExcellence
