"Jalen Brunson is HIM." 15 in the FOURTH QUARTER. 29 in the SECOND HALF. 45 for the GAME. The 2026 NBA Finals MVP tied Michael Jordan (Game 6, 1998) for the most points on the road in a Finals-clinching game 🔥

This is very encouraging. The European project to advance democracy and cooperation needs to keep driving through this century.
EU countries have agreed to open the first accession negotiations cluster with Ukraine and Moldova. Today we launch talks on the backbone of the process: including justice and fundamental rights. Enlargement is our best investment in a future of peace, security and prosperity.

Josh Hart speaking about the insane ticket prices: "I wish the prices weren't as crazy as they are. A lot of people who have been waiting for this moment for a very long time unfortunately aren't able to get into the building. $7K, $8K is ridiculous."

It's not just the exploitation of a tragedy. JD Vance's picture of Britain - where migrants have led to a crime surge - is the opposite of the truth. comment.press/vance1234

The Spurs in the final 6 minutes of that basketball game were incredible. Not immature, not soft, not shrinking. It was 14 seconds of doom after a true show of toughness. I could easily see them winning one or both games in NYC #NBAFinals

So you know what? I don’t think Robert Kenyon is particularly fresh to politics. He’s been expressing plenty of clear political views consistently on this platform for years and when people show you who they are, we should believe them #bbcqt #Makerfield #MayaAngelou

The murder of Henry Nowak is a heartbreaking tragedy. My thoughts are with his family and all those who knew and loved him. The focus should be on justice for Henry, not blaming entire communities. The Sikh community has condemned this horrific crime and should not be held responsible for the actions of one individual. The Sikhs I know are kind, generous people who contribute greatly to our country. We must not let this tragedy fuel hatred and division.

I was all team Burnham yesterday whilst visiting the other side of the Pennines but I’m all “up the Robins” today ⚪️🔴🐤🏉
Happy Challenge Cup Day everyone from a sunny Stubshaw Cross! And here’s the good news in my latest update: I’ve asked my teams not to knock between 3pm and 5pm and leave you in peace to watch the match. 👍🏻

As one of the few Sikhs in the public eye in Britain, I have found myself inundated with messages... The death of Henry Nowak was horrific and as a mother to a 20yo son I can't even begin to imagine the pain. I just can't..my heart is broken for his family... The killer was a monster. Evil - He does not represent the entire Sikh community. For over 100-years Sikhs have been in Britain -kirpan and all- and in that time we have become an example of all that is great about this nation; integrated, peaceful, disproportionately philanthropic, and by all measures an overwhelming asset to the UK. Not to mention, the World War contributions, which is what opened up the path for many of our families to emigrate here in the first place. Yet, one incident -literally one!- and all that gets chucked in the bin and our entire community is now a target??! Just last month a white man was found guilty of raping a Sikh woman because of how she looked! Did Sikhs demand all white men be curfewed or giving restraining orders around brown women??? We are not taught you judge an entire community based on the actions of one. When Britain needed Sikhs, we have always stepped up; from the World Wars to the work of dozens of Sikh charities on the streets of Britain today.

This proves that the NHS is at risk from the Reform true believers. Almost 20% of Reform voters want a privatised police force 🫠 I’m hoping the top line overall are just people misreading the questions.

A serious case of buyer’s regret for Danny Kruger, clearly a thoughtful man of keen intellect who’s thrown his lot in with Reform and now being wheeled out to defend the indefensible. Caveat emptor springs to mind.
“I’m not going to defend those comments.” Danny Kruger, Reform UK MP, says previous social media comments made by the party’s candidate in Makerfield were unacceptable but argues that the country has bigger problems to deal with.

The UK hard right used to say “you can’t possibly join the Euro because of sovereignty and the BoE’s ability to independently set interest rates”. Now they basically say “f**k the Pound and buy gold and Bitcoin”. Make it make sense.

Trump: "I have been asked by the Emir of Qatar, Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, the Crown Prince of Saudi Arabia, Mohammed bin Salman Al Saud, and the President of the United Arab Emirates, Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, to hold off on our planned Military attack of the Islamic Republic of Iran, which was scheduled for tomorrow, in that serious negotiations are now taking place, and that, in their opinion, as Great Leaders and Allies, a Deal will be made, which will be very acceptable to the United States of America, as well as all Countries in the Middle East, and beyond. This Deal will include, importantly, NO NUCLEAR WEAPONS FOR IRAN!"

I see that there is confusion from many about the new Chisinau Declaration, and why it is great. Europe has had a large problem with being unable to deport foreigners, even in cases where they are convicted of a violent crime or rape. You may have seen several of these insane cases here on X. To understand why this is happening, it's important to through the levels and mechanisms. In a well-functioning democracy, if the population wants to deport foreign rapists, they could simply elect politicians who will enact a law that foreigners convicted of rape must be deported. Denmark for example, is, in itself, such a well-functioning democracy. However, the problem is the European Court of Human Rights. This court would say that such a law would be against the "human rights" of the rapists. This is obviously ridiculous. Also it is against the Danish democracy, as the Danish population never had a chance to vote against this. Denmark agreed to join the convention on Human Rights, but this convention doesn't say anything about that foreign rapists cannot be deported. This interpretation is due to activist ideologue judges sitting on the European Court. What the Chisinau declaration does is that it says to the European Court: "Stop that you morons. That's clearly not what the text in the Human Rights Convention means." (In more diplomatic terms.) So now, European countries are once again free to make their own laws that mandates deportation for foreign criminals. Some people are skeptical and think that this will never happen. But it is in fact easy. The populations can simply vote for parties who will write such a law. This is what has happened here in Denmark where the *left-wing* government has already prepared such a proposal (Bill L180). It couldn't pass previously because of the European Court of Human Rights, but now it can. And other European countries are free to follow suit.
