"The announcement comes about a year after the administration announced $11 billion in IRA funds to boost rural renewables... which the administration said would be the largest cash injection into rural electrification since the New Deal of the 1930s."

In 2024Q1, clean mfg, energy & industry made up 7.4% of private fixed investment in structures and equipment. That's above investment in oil and gas, but more significantly it continues the trend of rising *total* investment in clean energy as a % of structures/equipment PFI.

Sarah Wallace was just starting dinner when the ground began to vibrate. The rumble built. She ran out into the street, where she learned what felt like an earthquake was actually the house behind hers colliding into their duplex.

The @newsminer does a fine job of calling to task those that spread the Denali NP flag nonsense: "We’ve yet to hear any apologies from the blogosphere or Sen. Sullivan about their spread of misinformation, which put the park superintendent’s life at risk." newsminer.com/opinion/editor…

Every Alaskan should read this @FT piece about the (mis)management of the $80 billion Alaska Permanent Fund (APF). With the APF, there is no Dividend. The APF pays for the majority of our state government (more than Oil). We need legislative oversight! ft.com/content/4e30cea4-bcd8…

Ignore the noise of anti-EV headlines, follow the signal of the actual data. "More than one-fifth of the vehicles sold worldwide will be an EV or a PHEV this year. In 2018, just about 2 percent of cars sold fit into this category." canarymedia.com/articles/ele…

Wow is right. We were promised more jobs, production, investment, revenue & growing PFD if we cut oil taxes. Instead jobs & investment down 50%, production down, state revenue down & PFD cut 75% to make up difference. Now they threaten to crash AK economy & violate consent decree
Wow. Yesterday, Hilcorp’s SVP for Alaska sent this email to the heads of all the Southcentral utilities and Marathon. It basically says that if this s-corp tax provision passes, their planned Cook Inlet investment of $1 billion over the next 5 years will be affected. #akleg
